It has been carefully cleaned with a Spin-Clean and placed into a new plastic sleeve. Play-tested on a quality turntable, it played through without skips; minor pops and crackles were noticed. This is not a silent or visually pristine copy, but offers an enjoyable way to hear the album on vinyl.

Record details

Artist: Scorpions

Album: Animal Magnetism

Format: Vinyl LP

Catalog number: SRM-1-3825

Side A matrix/runout: SRM-1-3825-AS Q SnB-AL

Packaging: New plastic sleeve; original jacket not included

About the artist & album

Formed in Hanover, Germany, in 1965, Scorpions became one of the defining bands in European hard rock. Their sound pairs Rudolf Schenker’s driving rhythm guitar with melodic lead work and Klaus Meine’s unmistakable voice. Released in 1980, Animal Magnetism is their seventh studio album, produced by Dieter Dierks. Following Lovedrive and preceding Blackout, it captures the band sharpening the heavy yet melodic approach that would bring them wider international success.

Track highlights

“Make It Real” opens with punchy, riff-driven energy, while “Don’t Make No Promises (Your Body Can’t Keep)” brings a faster, harder edge. “Lady Starlight” offers a melodic ballad interlude. The slow-burning groove and talk-box guitar of “The Zoo” made it a signature Scorpions track, and the closing title track adds a darker, brooding finish.

Track listing

Side A

Make It Real

Don’t Make No Promises (Your Body Can’t Keep)

Hold Me Tight

Twentieth Century Man

Lady Starlight

Side B

Falling in Love

Only a Man

The Zoo

Animal Magnetism

Please note: playback observations describe testing on one quality turntable; results can vary with equipment and setup.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0512/9597/7651/files/94ae9a6b-d8f9-41f5-bbc8-b3d7db4a8faf-1_all_50541.jpg?v=1792514890
