About the Artist
Eric Clapton is widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists in the history of rock and blues. Born in Surrey, England in 1945, Clapton rose to fame through seminal bands including the Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, and Derek and the Dominos before launching a celebrated solo career. His fluid, expressive playing — rooted in the Delta blues tradition of Robert Johnson and refined through British R&B — earned him the nickname "Slowhand." By the mid-1970s, Clapton had survived personal turmoil and addiction, emerging with a more relaxed, soulful sound that would define his mature work.
About the Album
No Reason to Cry (1976) is a deeply collaborative record, recorded at The Band's legendary Shangri-La Studio in Malibu, California. The sessions brought together an extraordinary cast: Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Levon Helm, and Garth Hudson of The Band all contributed, alongside Bob Dylan, who co-wrote and performed on two tracks. The result is a warm, loose, Americana-soaked album that blends blues, rock, country, and soul in a way that feels effortless. It reached #15 on the UK Albums Chart and #15 on the Billboard 200, and stands as a testament to the communal spirit of mid-70s rock royalty.

Record Condition
This copy has been carefully cleaned with a Spin-Clean record washer and stored in a new inner plastic sleeve to protect the playing surface. The vinyl presents minor surface scuffs consistent with age and prior play, but played flawlessly on a quality turntable with no skips. Minor pops and crackles were noted during playback — typical for a vintage pressing of this era and not indicative of any groove damage. A solid player's copy.
The jacket is in fair condition with the original inner sleeves present. Expect typical vintage wear: edge wear, light ring wear, and general handling marks.
