About the Album

Released in 1981, Escape was Journey's seventh studio album and marked a turning point for the band, bringing keyboardist Jonathan Cain into the fold alongside Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Ross Valory, and Steve Smith. It became the band's most commercially successful record, topping the Billboard 200 chart and cementing Journey's place as one of the era's biggest rock acts.
