About the Artist
Kiss is one of rock's most iconic and theatrical acts, formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss. Known for their elaborate face paint, pyrotechnic live shows, and anthemic hard rock, Kiss became a cultural phenomenon throughout the 1970s and beyond. Their larger-than-life personas — The Starchild, The Demon, The Spaceman, and The Catman — made them as much a visual spectacle as a musical force. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, Kiss remains one of the best-selling music artists of all time with over 100 million records sold worldwide.
About the Album
Destroyer (1976) is widely regarded as Kiss's masterpiece and commercial breakthrough. Produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd), the album marked a bold artistic evolution for the band — incorporating orchestral arrangements, choir vocals, and a more polished, cinematic sound without sacrificing the raw energy that defined their earlier work. Destroyer reached #11 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified Quadruple Platinum in the United States. It is consistently ranked among the greatest hard rock albums ever recorded.
