About the Album

Released in 1973 on Charisma Records, The Monty Python Matching Tie and Handkerchief is one of the most inventive comedy albums ever pressed — and not just for its content. The record is famously a "three-sided" LP: Side 2 contains two concentric grooves, each carrying entirely different material. Depending on where the needle drops, the listener hears a completely different set of sketches — a genuinely unique gimmick that delighted and baffled fans in equal measure. The album was a commercial and critical success, reaching #73 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.

Condition

Record – G: Carefully cleaned with a Spin-Clean record washer and stored in a new anti-static plastic inner sleeve. The vinyl has minor scuffs but played flawlessly on a quality turntable with no skips. Minor pops and crackles were noted during playback — consistent with age and light use.

Jacket – Fair: Shows its age with a rip on the front cover as pictured. Original inner sleeve is included. A great candidate for a replacement jacket if condition is a concern, while the record itself remains in excellent playing shape.
