Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band – The Distance Vinyl LP (ST-12254)
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band – The Distance
A used vinyl copy of The Distance, pairing Bob Seger's distinctive, gravelly vocals with the Silver Bullet Band's heartland rock sound. Seger emerged from Detroit's rock scene and became known for songs that combine working-class storytelling, reflective lyrics, and driving rock arrangements.
Released in 1982, The Distance balances energetic rock with thoughtful ballads. Highlights include the restless road-song energy of “Roll Me Away,” the reflective “Even Now,” and “Shame on the Moon,” written by Rodney Crowell, which brings a country-influenced feel to the album. It is a strong choice for listeners who enjoy Seger's mix of grit and melody.
