Artist & release highlights

Led by singer Mick Hucknall, Simply Red built their reputation on a distinctive blend of pop, soul and R&B. Their best-known songs include “Holding Back the Years” and “If You Don’t Know Me by Now,” noted here as artist background rather than tracks on this record.

“Perfect Love” comes from Simply Red’s 2005 album Simplified, a project that paired reworked material with new songs and Latin-influenced arrangements. The song highlights the group’s upbeat, dance-friendly side, with Hucknall’s soulful vocals at its centre. This listing identifies the vinyl release by its supplied catalog and matrix numbers; specific mixes and additional tracks have not been confirmed.
